Objective:

Like many companies with a strong Comic-Con International presence, Fox wanted to make a splash to promote the second season of their science fiction comedy-drama series, The Orville. To ensure they had a creative way to stand out with OOH Advertising during San Diego’s busiest season, Fox enlisted the help of VIP Outdoor Media to craft a customized mobile media campaign sure to turn heads. With direction from the team at Fox, VIP Outdoor Media designed and built custom Pedicabs to mimic The Orville, complete with in-costume Brand Ambassadors providing free Comic-con transportation throughout the Gaslamp quarter, as well as distributing giveaways.

Solution:

In a testament to how seamlessly Outdoor Advertising can be paired with technology, VIP Outdoor Media fitted each Pedicab with a tablet to play video content. The campaign started Thursday and continued until Sunday Afternoon, gathering countless impressions and thrilling fans, who were able to see exclusive content and even receive their very own crew pin.
